We are here to help!

There are many challenges that are unique to infants and toddlers that require specialized care and attention. One of our specialties is identifying and treating these conditions to ensure your little ones thrive and get as much of a head start as possible.

Torticollis / Plagiocephaly

Torticollis and plagiocephaly are conditions affecting a baby’s neck and head shape, potentially leading to developmental delays, discomfort, and asymmetrical features if not addressed early. Early intervention is crucial for promoting healthy growth and development.

Developmental Delay

Developmental delays in babies and toddlers can affect milestones such as motor skills, speech, and social interactions, potentially leading to long-term challenges in learning and behavior. Early identification and intervention are essential for supporting healthy development and maximizing potential.

Toe Walking

Toe walking, a common behavior in young children, can indicate underlying issues with balance or muscle tone and may affect gait and coordination if persistent. Early assessment and intervention can help ensure proper development and prevent potential complications.

Frequently Asked Questions

A few quick topics to help clarify common questions and concerns our patients have.

How does in-home PT work?

In-home physical therapy provides the convenience of personalized, one-on-one care from a licensed therapist in the comfort of your home, tailored to your or your specific needs without the need to travel to a clinic

Will my child be comfortable with in-home therapy?

Absolutely! Children are often more comfortable receiving care at home, as they are in a familiar setting, which can reduce anxiety and lead to more effective sessions.

Is in-home PT covered by insurance?

Lifespan is a cash based clinic. We provide a superbill that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Payments can be applied to your deductible and out of pocket at the discretion of the insurance company. For more information, please visit our Services page: Services

Do I need any special equipment at home?

No, the therapist will bring any necessary equipment, and they may also suggest home-based exercises that require minimal or no equipment depending on your situation.

How long are in-home physical therapy sessions?

Generally the first session is an evaluation that lasts roughly an hour. Follow-up sessions are also typically an hour depending on your treatment plan. Pediatric follow-ups can be scheduled for 30mins as necessary.

What conditions do you treat?

Lifespan isn’t just a name, it’s what we do. We have experience treating all ages, pediatric, geriatric, and everything in between. A brief, yet not exhaustive, list of conditions we treat is available on our Services page. Services
